Easter is Sunday, March 28, 2027, two days after Broward schools’ spring break week ends. This page is updated every year. None of Plantation’s 2027 Easter events had been posted by Oct. 10, so the dates below are last year’s and are labeled that way. The city’s egg hunt has been held on a Saturday close to Easter; in 2026 Easter fell on April 5, and the hunt was the day before.

City egg hunt

The city’s Royal Easter Egg Hunt in 2026 was Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m. sharp at Pop Travers Field, 6250 SW 16th St., for children 3 to 10; in 2025 it was Saturday, April 19, at the same field and time. From the city’s 2026 listing:

  • Children are assigned to fields by age group: 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, and 9 and 10.
  • Bring a basket or bag. Parents may not help children collect eggs.
  • The Royal Easter Bunny visits, and after the hunt there are inflatables, games and arts and crafts until 1 p.m.
  • Arrive early to find parking.

Candy Land Express

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the city ran Candy Land Express at the Plantation Community Center, 5555 Palm Tree Road, from 10 a.m. to noon: make-your-own chocolate, a bounce house and a train ride, for $8 a child with registration, according to its listing. Call 954-797-2180 about 2027.

Easter brunch

Plantation Preserve Golf Course and Club, 7050 W. Broward Blvd., serves a multi-course Easter buffet with salads, soups, entrees and desserts, the city says, with a different menu each holiday. Its 2026 buffet was on Easter Sunday, April 5; reservations at 954-585-5031. The restaurant also runs a Sunday breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., November through June (restaurant page).

Easter car show at Plantation Walk

Plantation Walk, 321 N. University Dr., held its first Easter Car and Truck Show on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the Easter Bunny, thousands of eggs handed out by show car owners and live music. Admission was free (2025 details). It posted a gallery from a 2026 Easter show; 2027 details were not out.

What’s open on Easter Sunday

  • Closed: Plantation Aquatic Complex and the Central Park, Jim Ward and Plantation community centers, which the city lists as closed on Easter Sunday.
  • Broward County libraries were closed on Easter Sunday in 2026, the county’s holiday list shows.
  • Trash: Plantation has no garbage pickup on any Sunday.
  • City parks keep holiday hours.
