Plantation’s burgers line University Drive. Ford’s Garage is at Plantation Walk, The Habit is on North University Drive, Five Guys is at The Fountains, and Benny’s Smash Burgers and McDonald’s are farther south. Smash N Fries is in the Broward Mall food court, and Checkers is on State Road 7.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Plantation’s city limits, the same records that feed our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on 2026-10-11. We added places the map missed from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s restaurant inspection records and confirmed each on its own site. We left out a mapped Wendy’s whose own page puts it in Fort Lauderdale. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. A place can write to us to correct its entry.

“See its website” means the chain’s own page loads its hours in a way we could not read on 2026-10-11. Smash N Fries has no website we could find; Florida’s restaurant inspectors visited it in the mall food court on July 17, 2026.

The places

Benny’s Smash Burgers. A smash burger shop whose signature Oklahoma Smash is two thin patties smashed on a griddle with caramelized onions, American cheese and a house sauce. It does pickup, delivery and catering trays of sliders.

Checkers. The burger chain’s restaurant on State Road 7, at the city’s east edge.

Five Guys. The burger and fries chain’s restaurant at The Fountains. Its location page lists dine-in, takeout, delivery and outdoor seating, and milkshakes.

Ford’s Garage. A burger and craft beer restaurant at Plantation Walk built around a 1920s service station theme. It adds a 20% service charge in place of a tip, plus a 1% Plantation Walk entertainment fee, its page says, and runs a weekday happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m.

The Habit Burger Grill. A chain known for its Charburgers, with salads and sandwiches, in the North University Drive center it shares with Chipotle and Pieology.

McDonald’s. The fast-food chain’s restaurant on South University Drive.

Smash N Fries. A counter in the Broward Mall food court whose name points to smash burgers and fries. It has no website, so it is listed here from its state inspection record.
