Valentine's Day in Plantation 2027: events, dinners, date ideas

Valentine’s Day is Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027. This page is updated every year. No Plantation restaurant or venue had announced 2027 Valentine’s plans by Oct. 10. We list dinners only when a restaurant posts its own Valentine’s menu, and we will add them in January. Until then, here is what February usually brings.

Free February dates in the park

• Rock the Park. The city’s free outdoor concert series at Pine Island Park, 320 S. Pine Island Road, runs on the first Friday or select Saturdays from November through May. Food trucks serve from 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m.; bring blankets or lawn chairs. No dogs. The February 2026 show was Saturday, Feb. 7, with Hotter Than July, a Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner tribute, according to the city’s series page. The 2026-27 lineup had not been posted.
• Movies in the Park. The city showed “Lilo & Stitch” free at the Jim Ward Community Center, 301 NW 46th Ave., on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026; gates opened at 5:30 p.m. and the movie started at dark (listing).

Valentine’s Sunday brunch

Because Feb. 14, 2027, is a Sunday, brunch is an option. The city-owned Plantation Preserve Golf Course and Club, 7050 W. Broward Blvd., runs a Sunday breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., November through June, in a dining room that overlooks the course, according to the city’s restaurant page. Dinner

Plantation’s restaurants cluster along University Drive and Broward and Sunrise boulevards. A few with hours posted on their own sites:

• Padrino’s, Cuban, 1039 S. University Dr., Suite 210: Sunday noon to 9 p.m.; closed Mondays (hours).
• Plantation Walk, 321 N. University Dr., has about two dozen restaurants and shops around an outdoor plaza, with live music Thursday to Sunday in 2025; see its dining directory.

Mardi Gras the same week

Mardi Gras falls on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2027, five days before Valentine’s Day. Plantation Walk held its first Fat Tuesday Party in the Plaza on March 4, 2025, from 5 to 10 p.m., with a live band, a DJ, beads and stilt walkers; admission and parking were free (2025 details). It posted a 2026 gallery; 2027 plans were not out.
