Plantation does not have a classic downtown, so date night tends to start at Plantation Walk, the outdoor shopping and dining district on University Drive just north of Broward Boulevard, or at one of the restaurants along Pine Island Road and Sunrise Boulevard. For a big show, downtown Fort Lauderdale’s performing arts center is about 7 miles east.
